Petra Tilos is a project that aims to activate, educate and engage the community of Tilos and the island's visitors on the historicity, the environmental impact and the possible restoration and reuse of drystone structures (such as "chalia", rimes, walls and stone paths).

Petra Tilos was designed by a voluntary local group that wanted to make the art of drystone, accessible to the community and especially to young people.

The project and its activities are implemented participatorily, by the community of Tilos for the community of Tilos, but also for all those visitors who may be interested in the traditional techniques of dry stone masonry.

In 2024, Petra Tilos team created 5 short documentaties.

Stone craftsmen and people who lived on the island their whole life, share stories about the island, its nature, water flow, stonemaking and collective work in the fields.
